SHIPPING

How much do you charge for shipping?

We offer free standard shipping Australia-wide on all orders over $250.00.

If your order is under $250.00, we charge a flat rate of $10.95 for standard shipping Australia-wide regardless of the number of prints. We also offer express shipping for a $19.95 flat rate. International shipping will be calculated in your shopping cart when you add prints and select the destination country.

On request, we can also deliver via your preferred courier service.

How can I track my order?

All orders are shipped via Australia Post (except where you request or we recommend courier service) and you will receive an email with tracking information once your order has been dispatched.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we offer international shipping via Australia Post. Shipping to almost anywhere in the world can be calculated by adding prints to your shopping cart and selecting the destination country.

Can I pick up my order?

Yes, customers local to the Blue Mountains, NSW are welcome to pick up their order.  Just select ‘Local Pickup’ as your shipping option and we’ll contact you with pickup instructions.

How will my prints be delivered?

Prints that are A3-sized or smaller will be packed in a rigid bend-proof flat mailer. To avoid over-packing, we may ship your order in multiple mailers, secured together for protection. Prints larger than A3 are rolled and enclosed in an acid-free protective sleeve, and shipped in heavy-duty mailing tubes. These are cut to size to minimise movement of the print in transit.

Fine art greetings cards are shipped in a box complete with envelopes and acid-free sleeves for each card. Packing materials are used to minimise movement in transit.

If your order doesn’t arrive in perfect condition, we’ll replace any damaged items free of charge.

We ship Australia-wide using Australia Post and offer both standard and Express Post options, with standard shipping free for orders over $200. We can also deliver by courier, if you prefer – ask us for a quote.

FINE ART PRINTS

What papers and canvas do you print on?

We use very best museum archival grade papers and canvas, from trusted paper manufacturers including Hahnemühle and Ilford. If you’re not sure where to start, we offer a sample pack of our most popular papers (which you can get for free if you sign up to our mailing list!).

What do I need to know about colour management?

We have a fully colour-managed workflow. For soft proofing, we offer custom ICC profiles for every paper we offer and these are available on request for soft-proofing your artwork before printing. We recommend proper monitor calibration and soft-proofing to our custom profiles to ensure the highest possible colour accuracy for your prints.

How should I save my files for printing?

To ensure the best possible prints from your digital files, please upload files with the following specifications. If you are unsure or need any assistance, get in touch and we’ll be delighted to help!

Formats

We accept Photoshop (PSD), JPEG and TIFF files for printing.

Colour Space

All files must be RGB (no CMYK) and we recommend using either Adobe RGB (1998), ProPhoto RGB or sRGB colour profiles.

Resolution

Your files should ideally be at least 300dpi and must be correctly sized for the size of print that you order. Files at incorrect dimensions or aspect ratio may be cropped or distorted.

What sizes can you print?

We can print any size up to 1.1m wide by the length of a paper roll – generally 12 metres. Note however that we may not be able to trim excess paper from prints longer than 2m. We offer a range of standard sizes, and can print custom sizes to any requirements.

What are standard ISO measurements?

The standard ISO (International Standardisation Organisation) print sizes we use are A and B series.

B sizes are slighly larger than A sizes.

Both series are sized from ‘0’ (largest) to 7 (smallest). From smallest to largest, each size is twice the previous size – so for example A3 is twice the size of an A4.

For ease of ordering, our standard sizes product page lists ISO sizes separately.

Handling & Storage

How should I store my prints?

Long term storage of unframed prints should be controlled for both humidity and temperature. Ideal conditions are 15-30 degrees and 30-55% relative humidity.

What should I keep in mind when framing my print?
  • The use of quality archival materials for mats, backings, spacers, as well as UV protected glass, will improve the long term archival properties of the print.
  • Do not spray mount or use tape to adhere the print to a mounting board – the adhesive can cause damage to the paper
How can I flatten curled prints?

To ensure your print arrives in perfect condition, we ship all prints larger than A3 rolled in a tube. If you are having your print professionally framed, you do not need to do anything – delivering the print in the original packaging is the safest method.

If you need to flatten a curled print yourself, follow these instructions:

  • Prepare a flat, smooth, hard work surface free of all debris, grit and dust.
  • Wash and dry your hands thoroughly. We strongly recommend the use of cotton gloves if available.
  • Starting at the edge closest to you, and keeping the tissue paper used during shipping in place, roll the print in the opposite direction to the curl. Be careful not to roll it too tightly or you may damage the print.
  • Place the rolled print back into the shipping tube.
  • Allow the print to sit. The amount of time required will generally be one to five hours, depending on ambient temperature and humidity.
  • Remove the print and unroll it image side up onto a flat surface.
  • With the tissue paper covering the printed image, place a few smooth, flat, heavy objects on the ends of the print. Let the print sit for another few hours.
  • Remove the heavy objects. If your print is still is not flat, let it sit with the heavy objects holding it down for another couple of hours.

How should I handle my fine art prints?

We recommend the following precautions when handling fine art prints:

  • Keep handling to a minimum.
  • Where possible, use cotton gloves to avoid the absorption of oils and/or marks from your fingers.
  • To avoid damaging the printed surface, do not place the printed side face down on any surface or object.
  • Do not expose your print to extreme temperatures or humidity.
