These strong, crystal clear archival bags are essential if you sell art prints, especially at markets. These protective sleeves:
- save your artwork from damage and moisture
- are resistant to creasing or tearing
- will keep the cards damp-free and protect against rain
- have a fold-down flap with a secure adhesive seal that will peel open without tearing and can be re-sealed
- are acid-free and suitable for long-term storage.
We stock sizes to fit standard size prints from A5 to A2.
We also sell smaller sizes to to suit our fine art cards. We supply these with the cards you order from us, but you can buy additional archival bags for greetings cards here.
Our environmental considerations
We are sometimes asked why we use plastic rather than cellophane bags. While cellophane is a plant-based, biodegradable product, it still has a highly energy and chemically intensive manufacturing process. Cellophane is also flimsy and will tear easily, as you will know if you’ve purchased it for wrapping gifts. Cellophane also creases permanently with little pressure, and can ‘fog’ as it does not resist moisture well. Our bags are a polypropylene (BOPP) alternative that are better suited than cellophane to use as protective sleeves for paper-based products and artwork, and they are are recyclable (#5 PP).
