We offer high-resolution digitisation services for original artworks as well as film negatives, slides and old photographs.
For artworks, our preferred method is photographic capture as it allows us to capture very large pieces, and more difficult works such as thick oils. High resolution photography also allows us to properly light each piece autonomously for accurate results.
For smaller works, old photographs, slides and negatives we use our high-resolution scanner.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Consultation
We will discuss what you need digitised and your print needs with you, and offer friendly, knowledgeable advice on how to get the best quality reproduction of your originals.
2. Digital Capture
Deliver your original(s) to us, either in person or by post, and we will photograph or scan to create a high quality digital file.
3. Post Processing
For artworks, we then check and adjust the files for colour and tone accuracy in order to create accurate, print-ready digital files.
For old photos, slides or negatives, we ensure the digital copy is faithful to the original and, if you have requested it, will touch up the digital image to repair tears or scratches. We can attempt colour restoration, but can’t guarantee results as old film and prints lose colour differently depending on brand and storage.
4. Ready for Print!
We will transfer the files to you by secure WeTransfer for future use, and you can also order prints on your chosen paper, canvas or greetings cards.
